NO CELL PHONES OR OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES ALLOWED AT ALL TIMES.
Once your name is called by Mrs. Rodriguez when taking roll and grading your uniform, you will go outside and wait for Mrs. Rodriguez on the first floor steps. NO ONE IS TO BE STANDING until Mrs. Rodriguez has given the signal to begin walking to the activity location.
When walking to and from our activity site, you must share the sidewalk with others. Our class should not be taking up the sidewalk for other pedestrians; a maximum of two people may be walking side by side and walk together in a line as a class. Make sure to be looking ahead at what is coming your way, such as runners, bicyclists, and other pedestrians.
You must stop at each intersection to wait for Mrs. Rodriguez to stop traffic for the class. ONLY when the motion is made to begin walking, may you begin to walk. NO ONE CROSSES THE STREET UNATTENDED.
While out, there are three whistles you should know.
One long whistle followed by a short whistle means to jog towards Mrs. Rodriguez.
Two short whistles means to take a knee and be quiet.
ONE LONG WHISTLE MEANS TO FIND SECURE SHELTER.
6. During school hours, while you are wearing a school uniform, and while outside for PE you represent the Academy of Arts and Minds. Best behavior is required at all times.

11/17 - Do Now: Briefly describe what you've seen/learned from "Food Inc." so far. Announcement: 2nd Chance: Turn in Fitness Appraisal Graphs by Monday 11/21. If you've already turned it in, you may make corrections to it and turn it in again. for a better grade. Classwork: "Food Inc." take out your six questions from yesterday. These will be collected at the end of the period.
11/18 - Do Now: Briefly describe what you've seen/learned from "Food Inc." so far. Continue the last 15-20 minutes of the documentary. Discussion on what the general lesson of viewing a documentary such as this is. Students brought in their own laptops or were provided with a school lap top to begin their PFP files. A skeleton was created to be filled in as they prepare for and progress through the 6 week Personal Fitness Program.

1/3 - Do Now: Prepare your hypothesis for each physical fitness test (BMI, Mile, Trunk Lift, V-Sit, Push up, Curl up, Shoulder stretch). In class we tested the V Sit Reach and the Trunk Lift. We will be testing the Mile tomorrow. All other tests must be performed on your own. The last lab report is due Friday , 1/6. Take the time in class to begin the lab report and ask questions. 6. During school hours, while you are wearing a school uniform, and while outside for PE you represent the Academy of Arts and Minds. Best behavior is required at all times.1/9 - Students signed up for the Work it Out! project. The project consists of choosing to lead the class for either Cardiovascular Fitness, Flexibility Fitness, or Muscular Fitness. Students will lead the class for 5 minutes. Students must have at least three exercises for the class to do within their health-related component of fitness.
